So... I bought a Kindle in mid October. Cool. New device. You unwrap it, remove the plastic film that protects the screen like some scientist running a very delicate experiment, turn it on. Enjoy the first moments touching and turning this guy upside down. In the beginning, it's not any technological god. The screen is black and white, and you can't do anything else but read books. The memory is also kinda small: 4gb. But...
This. was. the. best. purchase. ever! In fact, owning a Kindle is not about having the ultimate tech design. It's all about the purpose (and I just got the idea for the next post). I mean... This little guy doesn't give you any distractions while reading. There is no Facebook messenger nor Whatsapp to interrupt. The screen is developed with a different (and very comfortable) technology: the e-ink. It's very similar to a printed book (for me, sometimes it's even better). And the best two features:
- Access to millions of books and thousands of free books. You just go to amazon.com and you will find a lot of interesting books cheaper than the paper version.
- Very light: you can carry more than two thousand books with you in less than 200 grams.
You will also feel the benefits of reading every day: improved memory and creativity, new and expanded perception of reality, smarter analytic skills, higher concentration, etc. Not only this, but you relax a lot :)
So, you get smarter as hell and more relaxed. Just by reading. Just one hour every day. So I would suggest you to drop this shitty tv shows and spend some time with this little friend. And it doesn't need to be a Kindle. If you have another preference, go for it. I'm just giving an example.
Why don't you try it? Thanks :)
